  • VeryDarkMan, a social media activist, is offering a reward of N1 million.
  • The reward is for information leading to the identification of two young women.
  • The women were allegedly harassed after being accused of stealing wigs.

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has offered a N1 million reward to anyone who can help identify two young women allegedly subjected to harassment after they were accused of stealing wigs.

The activist reacted to footage circulating online that showed the two girls being publicly confronted and allegedly humiliated over claims that they had stolen wigs.

Concerned about the treatment meted out to the women, VeryDarkMan called for the people involved in the alleged harassment to be identified and brought to justice.

In a statement accompanying the video, he announced a N1 million reward for anyone who could provide information that would help identify the two girls.

“1 million naira reward to anyone who can identify these girls for me.”

VeryDarkMan’s intervention comes amid growing reactions to the incident, with many Nigerians questioning whether the alleged accusation of theft justified the manner in which the girls were reportedly treated.

@Banks Monday;”The devil is so clever, and idiots he will use on a daily bases. And destroy them after using them. You are brutalizing someone and having a video of it and posting it for the world to see. In one hand you are being used to use your base instinct of violence against another human that you are brutalizing and on the other hand, your village people still hold your sense that you also seek some viral moment on the internet that you have no issue carrying out such evil in front of camera and having it posted online.”
