A Nigerian man has expressed frustration over the state of medical services at the Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun State, after taking his son to the hospital for an ear-related medical check.

The man, who shared his experience online, said he took his son to the health facility for an examination but was reportedly asked to return in October.

Expressing disappointment over the delay, he pointed out that the date was still September 10, questioning why the hospital could not attend to his son earlier.

Sharing his concerns, he said:

“I brought my son to the Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta to check his ears and they said we should come back in October. Today is September 10. The Federal Govt needs to do something about their medical services. Nigeria is getting bad daily.”

His complaint has drawn attention to concerns surrounding access to timely and efficient healthcare services in public medical facilities across the country.

The man also called on the Federal Government to take steps to improve the quality and availability of medical services for Nigerians seeking treatment in government-owned hospitals.
