TRAGIC END! British-Nigerian Businessman Igho Ubiribo Dies After Penis Enlargement Injection in Thailand
A 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, has died after a cosmetic penis enlargement procedure in Thailand went catastrophically wrong, with a London coroner ruling that the treatment triggered a fatal pulmonary embolism.
Ubiribo died in March while on holiday in Bangkok with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, after receiving an injection containing 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine at an unnamed Thai clinic.
The shocking circumstances surrounding his death were disclosed during an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court, where evidence showed that Ubiribo developed severe chest pain and collapsed twice shortly after the procedure.
According to reports from the inquest, Ubiribo and his wife had gone for a massage after the procedure when he suddenly began experiencing chest pains before losing consciousness.
He was rushed by ambulance to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors identified a pulmonary embolism—a potentially fatal blockage of a blood vessel supplying the lungs.
Doctors reportedly planned a CT scan to investigate the condition further, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before the scan could be performed. Medical personnel subsequently attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes, but he could not be saved.
A post-mortem examination in the United Kingdom subsequently found cellular material in his lungs consistent with the filler material used during the procedure, supporting the coroner’s conclusion that the cosmetic treatment had caused the fatal embolism.
The case has once again thrown the spotlight on the potentially devastating risks associated with elective cosmetic procedures, particularly treatments involving injectable fillers.
Ubiribo, who was known online as “Tiny”, had built a substantial social media following and was associated with an extravagant lifestyle, owning properties in London and Los Angeles. He married Danielle Simba Allen in 2022.
His death came months before the circumstances became public, with reports stating that he was buried in London in May.
The tragedy has left behind a disturbing warning about the potentially irreversible consequences of procedures often marketed as routine cosmetic enhancements.
