Nigerian public commentator Seaking has criticised the Benue State Government following reports that the convoy of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi was allegedly attacked by thugs in the state.

Reacting to the incident, Seaking expressed concern over the presence of security personnel during the reported attack and questioned why Obi’s convoy would allegedly come under attack in a state that has continued to face security challenges.

He also drew attention to the reported activities of bandits and terrorists in parts of Benue State, particularly the difficulties faced by residents and farmers in communities affected by insecurity.

In a statement, Seaking said:

“Mr Peter Obi’s convoy is being att@cked by thugs in Benue State while Nigeria Police officers are there. This is a state where båndits and terrørists have taken over communities, and farmers cannot even go to their farms. Yet, it is Peter Obi that is their problem. What has APC turned this country into? Even the one who claims to be a Reverend Father…”

Seaking’s comments were directed at Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, whom he criticised over the reported incident.
