“Why Must You Wait Until They Call You Out?”- VDM Shows Workers Fixing Abuja Drainage After Calling Out Wike

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has come under renewed scrutiny over persistent flooding in Abuja after activist VeryDarkMan called attention to the poor drainage situation in the Federal Capital Territory.

In a video shared online, VDM highlighted flooding around the city centre and specifically pointed to the condition of a road close to the NNPC Towers.

He appealed to Wike to urgently address the situation, while also acknowledging the minister’s work in Abuja.

“Dear FCT Minister EZENWO NYESOM WIKE, the persistent flooding and poor drainage in Abuja are blocking roads, causing traffic chaos, JUST IMAGINE this mess in the heart of the federal capital territory right beside NNPC towers….We’re asking for immediate action to clear the drainage systems, you have done amazing well as the FCT minister here in Abuja however this flooding issue would spoil everything you have done,look into it”

A follow-up video showed workers carrying out drainage work along the area, prompting VDM to question the timing of the intervention.

“Yesterday made video calling out the nyesom wike the minister of the FCT about the constant flooding in the city centres and today they have started fixing the drainage system along that area THE QUESTION IS WHY MUST YOU WAIT UNTIL THEY CALL YOU OUT? Una no Dey see the problem?”

His comments have since generated reactions from Nigerians on social media, with some supporting his intervention and others questioning his motive.
