- The activist expressed his frustration on social media after observing drainage work initiated shortly after his public criticism.
- His comments highlight ongoing concerns about infrastructure and flood management in the capital city.
Controversial Nigerian social media activist, VeryDarkMan, has called out the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over the handling of drainage and flooding issues in Abuja.
The activist took to social media to express his frustration after noticing that drainage work was being carried out in parts of the city shortly after he publicly criticised the FCT administration over flooding.
According to VeryDarkMan, he had raised concerns about the flooding in the FCT just a day earlier, questioning why authorities appeared to take action only after the issue was brought to public attention.
Reacting to the ongoing drainage work, he said:
“Yesterday I called out FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over city flooding, and today they are fixing the drainages. Why must you wait until you are called out? Una no dey see the problem?”
His comment has sparked reactions online, with some social media users agreeing with his concerns about the need for authorities to address infrastructure problems proactively rather than waiting for public criticism.
