Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa, says he would rather go to prison than give up his phone.
To him, losing the device is a no go area.
He made the remark at an event in Lagos, where he unveiled his Vision 2030 plan for Africa industrial revolution.
The host asked him to choose between going one week without his phone or giving up his private jet.
He said it would be harder to part with the phone.
He also said he has more than 13000 contacts saved on it.
He added that he rarely blocks anyone, which explains why the list keeps growing.
MD: One week without your private jet or one week without your phone?
Dangote: I think it’s easier to take me to jail than to take my phone away. Taking my phone is no-go area. I have more than 13 thousand contacts on my phone. https://t.co/ySenAEAgwK— Youth in Process (@Youthinprocess) October 19, 2026
