Medical Student Warns of Health Risks Linked to Anal Sex

A Nigerian medical student, Falmata Izge, has raised awareness about possible health risks associated with anal sex.

In a post shared on Facebook, Izge explained that the tissues inside the anus are delicate and can be easily injured. Unlike the vagina, the anus does not naturally produce lubrication, which can increase the risk of tears and other injuries during sexual activity.

According to Izge, injuries can cause pain and bleeding and may also increase the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), particularly when protective measures are not used.

She also warned that repeated or severe injury to the anal area may, in some cases, affect bowel control.

The warning highlights the importance of understanding the potential health risks associated with sexual activity and taking appropriate precautions to reduce the risk of injury and infection.
