In other news… ADC vice-presidential candidate Rotimi Amaechi has challenged anyone accusing him of c@rruption to provide evidence, insisting that he has remained in public life since 1987 without being arrested over such allegations.
Amaechi made the statement during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, October 2, while responding to questions about his record in public office, including his time as Minister of Transportation under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The former Rivers State governor said his long career in politics should make his critics produce evidence if they believe he engaged in c@rruption.
“Have you asked yourself why they are finding it difficult to arrest me? I’ve been in politics since 1987. 1987!” he said.
Amaechi, who was announced as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate on the ADC platform in June 2026, maintained that he had consistently denied being c@rrupt.
“I am waiting for the person that will prove that I was corrupt,” he said, adding, “I will not near corruption. I will not get close to c@rruption.”
