Osun State is setting up a major security system with a tech company listed in Shanghai.
Governor Ademola Adeleke met the company’s top team to finalise the details.
The team was led by Cai Jianfei and Nemo Guo.
The system will use drones, radar, AI cameras, robots and connected devices across the whole state.
It will be watched from a central command centre, day and night.
It will cover schools, banks, factories, farms, mining sites, markets, bus parks and motor garages.
The plan also includes a safe school project and a phone app that will link citizens directly to the command centre.
The governor said the goal is to protect schools, hospitals, businesses and border towns.
He asked residents to report strange movements or unfamiliar faces to security agencies quickly, especially in border areas.
The state already set up a Security Trust Fund to pay for this kind of work.
The news comes after security agencies warned religious leaders that terrorists may try to move into South West states to scare voters ahead of 2027.
