Alia Congratulates Tinubu, Others For Victory At APC Primaries

MAKURDI – Governor Hyacinth Alia, of Benue State, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other All Progressives Congress (APC), candidates that secured the ticket of the party to contest for various positions during the 2027 general election.
The Governor noted that the emergence of President Tinubu and other candidates of the party at the primaries of the APC, is a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by party faithful and stakeholders of the party.
He further appreciated the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC led by Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, for providing purposeful leadership, as well as a peaceful atmosphere, that led to a successful primaries across the country.
In a statement signed by Sir Kula Tersoo, Chief Press Secretary (CPS), to governor and made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Sunday, Alia, described the emergence of President Tinubu, as the presidential candidate of the party, as a “victory well-deserved.”
Kula, said, “The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, heartily congratulates His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for emerging once again, the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections.
“He equally extends warm congratulations to all those who emerged victorious as APC candidates and flagbearers across the country at the victorious stages of the primary elections conducted by the party.”
Particularly, appreciating members of the NWC, he said, “Governor Alia appreciates the NWC, led by Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda
for providing the needed purposeful leadership, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere, and organising transparent and successful primaries across the federation.”
While he emphasised that the smooth conduct of the exercise clearly demonstrates the growing strength, internal democracy, and unity within the APC family, Alia expressed confidence that the APC will continue to wax stronger and remain committed to delivering purposeful leadership, good governance, and sustainable development to Nigerians.
He therefore wished all candidates of the party well, for their successes, as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.
