APC Presidential Primary: Tinubu Records Landslide Victory in Plateau

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has secured a landslide victory in the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State.

Announcing the results in Jos, the State Collation Officer for the APC presidential primary and Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, said Tinubu polled 241,720 votes to defeat his opponent, Mr Osifo Stanley, who scored 303 votes.

The primary election was conducted across the 207 federal wards in the state.

Declaring the outcome, Governor Mutfwang said:

“Out of the total votes cast, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu scored 241,720 votes, while Mr Osifo Stanley polled 303 votes.

“It is therefore my pleasure to announce that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, having satisfied the requirements and scored the highest number of votes, is hereby declared the winner and returned as the APC presidential candidate.”

The governor stated that the figures announced represented the accurate results collated from across Plateau State.

Observers at the exercise described the primary election as peaceful and orderly, with participation recorded across the state.
