MAKURDI – Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State, has picked the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the state, to fly the flag of the APC in the 2027 governorship election.
Governor Alia, coasted to victory by polling 367,786, while the contestant next to him, Terwase Orbunde, polled 3,247 votes, with another contestant for the position, Jeffrey Karaun, polling 2,923, to place third on the chart.
The Chief Returning officer for the Benue State Governorship Primary Election, Prof. Mohammed Kabiru Isa, confirmed Alia as the winner of the primaries, while declaring the results of the election at the APC secretariat in Makurdi on Friday.
