Christopher Musa has emphasised the importance of spiritual and moral support in boosting the determination of security personnel to safeguard the country amid ongoing security challenges.
According to a statement issued by the Defence Chief’s Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, Gen. Musa made the remarks while hosting the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Lazarus Muoka, during a visit to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
General Musa noted that the fight against insurgency, banditry, terrorism, and other forms of criminality requires a whole-societal approach, stressing that the prayers and encouragement from religious bodies also continue to boost the morale of troops deployed in various theatres of operation nationwide.
He emphasized that the Armed Forces remain committed to defending the nation’s territorial integrity and safeguarding the lives and property of all Nigerians. He therefore urged religious leaders to continue to promote unity, patriotism, and national cohesion in their congregational engagements.
