The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has called on Security Agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the killing of nine Fulani pastoralists in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State deeply saddened and outraged by the brutal killing of innocent pastoralist men, women, and children in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
In a statement signed by the Secretary, Suleiman Mohammed, and made available to Journalists in Lokoja, he condemned the barbaric act in the strongest terms and called on security agencies to immediately investigate the incident, arrest the perpetrators, and ensure that justice is served.
The Association lamented the continued targeting and killing of innocent pastoral communities and described it as dangerous, unacceptable, and capable of worsening tensions among peaceful communities.
Muhammad extends its heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured persons.
He called on the government at all levels, humanitarian organizations, and relevant authorities to urgently provide relief and medical assistance to the affected families.
He urged members of the pastoralist community and all residents of the area to remain calm and law-abiding, while allowing security agencies to carry out their responsibilities.
“The sanctity of human life must be protected at all times, regardless of ethnic background, religion, or occupation. Nigeria belongs to all citizens, and every Nigerian deserves equal protection under the law.
The victims of the unfortunate attack include Isiaka Lawal and his wife, Larai Musa, Abdullahi Isiaka, Isah Isiaka, Saleh Isiaka, Samsiya Adamu, Asma’u Siuni, Basullube Musa, and Bello Musa
