‘Take Ownership’ — Tinubu Charges Ekiti Residents

President Bola Tinubu has commended renowned legal luminary, Wole Olanipekun, for donating the Newcruse Mother and Child Maternity Complex to the people of Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Tinubu, in a goodwill message personally signed by him, described the donation as another landmark contribution to humanity, healthcare delivery and community development.

Naijaonpoint reports that the President congratulated the Senior Advocate of Nigeria on what he called an outstanding and impactful intervention in the health sector.

According to Tinubu, Olanipekun remains a shining example of Nigerians who use their personal resources to uplift communities and improve the welfare of the people.

He noted that the maternity complex was part of the legal icon’s long-standing record of philanthropy, which has touched lives across different sectors over the years.

Tinubu also commended Wole Olanipekun for supporting human development through scholarships and social empowerment programmes for undergraduates, law students, the poor and vulnerable groups.

The President praised Olanipekun’s investments in education, his support for social integration and his contributions to community development in Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State and Nigeria.

Describing the Newcruse Mother and Child Maternity Complex as a state-of-the-art facility, Tinubu said the hospital would provide quality healthcare services for women and children in the community and beyond.

He urged the Ekiti State Government and the people of Ikere-Ekiti to take ownership of the facility and ensure its proper use and maintenance.

“The Newcruse Mother and Child Maternity Complex is a state-of-the-art facility built to provide first-rate service to all who will use it,” Tinubu said.

My charge to the government of Ekiti State and the people of Ikere is to take ownership, ensure proper use, and preserve the facility for continuous improvement and a centre of medical excellence for the present and future generation.”

Tinubu further described Olanipekun as a senior lawyer, community leader, patriot and humanist whose impact extends beyond the legal profession.

“As a senior lawyer and community leader, a son of Ikere and a citizen of Nigeria, he has excelled beyond the imagination of any human being,” the President stated.

He is a leading light of the legal profession in Nigeria and around the world, a worthy example of a patriot, giver and a humanist.”
