President Bola Tinubu has declared that corrupt public officials will no longer find safety anywhere within his administration.
Naijaonpoint reports that the President made this known on Tuesday during the commissioning of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Zonal Directorate Office Complex in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State.
He was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Tinubu said his government remains fully committed to supporting anti-corruption agencies and strengthening institutions responsible for promoting transparency and accountability in both the public and private sectors.
According to him, the fight against corruption will continue without compromise, as his administration is determined to ensure that anyone involved in fraudulent activities faces the consequences of the law.
The President described the newly commissioned EFCC office as more than just a physical structure, saying it represents an investment in stronger institutions, improved public confidence and the country’s overall progress.
He stated that the Federal Government is focused on building agencies that are capable of carrying out their responsibilities effectively and ensuring that public resources are protected from misuse.
Tinubu further warned that corrupt practices would not be tolerated under his leadership, adding that the government is prepared to pursue individuals involved in graft wherever they may be.
He maintained that the anti-corruption campaign remains a key part of his administration’s agenda and assured Nigerians that efforts to promote accountability and good governance would continue.
The President said the message from his government is straightforward: corruption has no place in Nigeria’s future, and those who engage in it will be dealt with according to the law.
“The message is clear: there are no hiding places for the corrupt. Nigeria will not tolerate graft, and such conduct will be punished under our laws,” he stated.
