Kogi bans night travel, restricts okada operations over security concerns

The Kogi state government has introduced a series of security measures, including restrictions on night-time movement and commercial motorcycle operations in parts of Kabba/Bunu LGA.

The new directives were announced following a security review of operations in Bunu District after recent attacks on communities within the axis.

Kingsley Fanwo, the commissioner for information and communications said the measures were based on intelligence reports and recommendations from security agencies conducting operations in the affected areas.

According to him, security operatives have continued clearance operations in forest locations after confronting armed criminals during recent attacks.
