As part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with critical stakeholders in road safety administration, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo.
The visit formed part of the Sector Commander’s familiarisation tour aimed at fostering stronger partnerships with government institutions and enhancing coordinated efforts towards safer roads and efficient traffic management across Ogun State.
During the visit, Corps Commander Ogunjobi appreciated the Commissioner for the Ministry’s unwavering support to the Corps and reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining a cordial and productive working relationship with the Ministry of Transportation and other relevant stakeholders. He noted that effective inter-agency collaboration remains essential to improving traffic management, ensuring the free flow of vehicular movement, and reducing road traffic crashes within the state.
Responding, the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Engr. Gbenga Dairo welcomed the Sector Commander and commended him for the initiative. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s readiness to continue working closely with the FRSC in promoting a safer, more efficient, and integrated transportation system in Ogun State.
The Commissioner further emphasised the importance of maintaining strong synergy among sister agencies through regular information sharing, coordinated operations, and mutual support. According to him, such collaboration would facilitate the timely identification and resolution of traffic congestion and other transportation challenges across the state.
The visit was concluded with both parties reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening inter-agency cooperation in the collective pursuit of safer roads, improved traffic management, and enhanced transportation service delivery for the people of Ogun State.
