Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has paid a heartfelt tribute to late actor Alexx Ekubo, describing him as a man who left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Reflecting on their relationship, Pete Edochie revealed that he met Alexx only three times, but each encounter was memorable.
He recalled one occasion when Alexx arrived at his hotel accompanied by Ogene drummers and bearing a cow as part of an elaborate invitation to an event.
According to the veteran actor, he had been informed that Alexx was already making significant plans for his upcoming 80th birthday celebration.
The news of the younger actor’s passing, he said, made those unrealized plans even more painful to contemplate.
Pete Edochie also took time to commend IK Ogbonna, describing him as a loyal friend who demonstrated genuine friendship both during Alexx’s life and after his passing.
In his tribute, Edochie summarized Alexx’s impact by saying he “came, saw, and left an indelible impression,” emphasizing the positive mark the actor made on colleagues, friends, and fans.
