The development followed the rising incidents of insecurity across the country especially kidnapping of schoolchildren in Oyo, Ekiti, Borno, Zamfara, Sokoto among others.
The resolution was passed during Tuesday’s plenary following the adoption of a motion sponsored by Sulaiman Gumi, lawmaker representing Gummi/Bukkuyum federal constituency in Zamfara state.
The rise in insecurity has led to calls for President Bola Tinubu to sack the service chiefs to pave the way for more capable hands.
