Residents of Dagarma Community have commended Shi Jin Quarry for providing a new borehole to improve access to potable water as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.According to community members, the project is intended to address water supply challenges and support the welfare of residents in the host community.
Speaking to journalists, resident Bilyaminu Lawan Dagarma said the borehole has eased the burden of accessing clean water and improved living conditions for many households.”We are happy to have a reliable source of potable water in our community. We will ensure the facility is properly maintained so it can continue to serve everyone,” he said.
The Chief Imam of the community, Malam Musliu Dagarma, also welcomed the initiative, describing the borehole as an important project that benefits residents and their livestock. He pledged that the community would protect and maintain the facility to ensure its longevity.Residents noted that Dagarma, a growing rural community, requires additional infrastructure to meet the needs of its increasing population.
They called on government agencies and corporate organisations operating in the area to support community development through similar initiatives. Shi Jin Quarry’s borehole project is one of the company’s reported efforts to contribute to the development of its host communities through social investment programmes.
