Popular rapper and actor, Folarin Falana, widely known as Falz, has clarified that he has never publicly endorsed any politician or political party, including Labour Party’s Peter Obi during the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking on Arise Television on Tuesday, the musician dispelled widespread public assumptions regarding his political affiliations, explaining that his primary focus has always been advocating for democratic integrity.
The entertainer noted that his cautious approach to political endorsements stems from the frequent recycling of political figures across election cycles, making it difficult to fully back individual candidates.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, Falz urged Nigerian youths to register and participate in large numbers, arguing that an overwhelming voter turnout remains the most effective safeguard against electoral malpractice.
