The Media Executive Forum of Nigeria (MEFON), Benue State Chapter, has presented an Award of Excellence to the President of the Tricycle Riders Association of Benue State (TRABS), Comrade Suushater Daniel Gbong, in recognition of what it described as his leadership and contributions to the association. The award was presented at the TRABS State Headquarters in Makurdi by MEFON Coordinator and News Impact Editor, Alex Zungu, alongside the Forum’s Secretary and News Champion Editor, Udugh Godwin A.
According to the Forum, the recognition followed an assessment of the association’s activities, which it said reflected discipline, organisational stability and member welfare under Gbong’s leadership. “We observed an exceptional level of unity, discipline and organisational stability. It is in recognition of these achievements that we present this Award of Excellence,” the Forum said.
Speaking at the event, stakeholders commended the recognition, describing it as an encouragement for continued commitment to responsible leadership and the welfare of tricycle operators in Benue State.
Receiving the award, Gbong dedicated the honour to members of the association and pledged to continue promoting peace, accountability and programmes aimed at improving members’ welfare.The event also featured the presentation of a ceremonial uniform by the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope for Tinubu/Alia 2027 Agenda, Evangelist Daniel Kavera, who called for greater collaboration with the association on civic engagement initiatives.
