Oborevwori Urges NYSC Corps Members in Delta to Stay Security Conscious, Obey the Law

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) deployed to the state to remain security conscious, obey the law, and stay alert to their surroundings throughout their service year.

The governor gave the advice at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Batch B Stream I Orientation Course held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area. He was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu.Oborevwori encouraged the corps members to carry out their duties with dedication, integrity, and patriotism, urging them to contribute positively to the development of their host communities.

He also called on them to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and national unity, describing Nigeria’s diversity as one of its greatest strengths.The governor assured the corps members of the Delta State Government’s continued commitment to their welfare and security during their service year. He also commended the management and staff of the NYSC in Delta State for successfully organising the orientation programme.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. John Kwaghe, praised the corps members for their discipline, maturity, and sense of responsibility throughout the orientation exercise.Kwaghe also thanked the Delta State Government for its continued support and for providing an enabling environment for the successful operation of the NYSC scheme in the state.
