The newly installed President of Rotary Club of Greenfield, Kayode Oyesile, has pledged to focus on growth, innovation, membership expansion, and impactful community service as he officially assumed office for the 2026–2027 Rotary year.
In his inaugural address, Oyesile expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to lead the club and paid tribute to the club’s past presidents for laying a solid foundation through their dedication and leadership.
Oyesile also appreciated members of the club for their support, describing his emergence as president as the beginning of a new chapter that would be driven by unity, service, and meaningful impact.
According to him, the new administration will prioritize projects and initiatives that positively affect communities while strengthening the club’s visibility within Rotary District 9111 and beyond.
Oyesile stressed that his tenure would not be defined by positions or titles but by measurable results.
“This year is not about titles or positions; it is about impact. It is about touching lives, transforming communities, strengthening the club, empowering members, and ensuring that Rotary Club of Greenfield remains relevant and visible not just within our community but across District 9111 and beyond,” he said.
The new president also announced plans to intensify efforts toward attracting and retaining members by creating an environment where every Rotarian feels welcomed, valued, inspired, and empowered to serve.
Calling for greater collaboration among members, directors, and stakeholders, Oyesile urged everyone to embrace the Rotary ideals of selfless service and collective action.
He encouraged members to prioritize action over excuses, service over comfort, collaboration over division, and lasting impact over personal recognition.
Oyesile concluded by expressing optimism that the 2026–2027 Rotary year would be successful, fulfilling, and impactful for the club and the communities it serves.
In his handover speech, outgone President, Bonny Ogirri, outlined the achievements of the Club under his leadership.
According to Ogirri, the star project of the Club was the construction of new classrooms at the Police Children School Okota.
