In Lviv, Russian air strikes injured six people, the city’s mayor confirmed.
Multiple explosions were also heard in the capital, Kiev, after Russian forces targeted non-residential sites with ballistic missiles.
Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Russia was attacking the capital with ballistic weapons and urged residents to seek shelter, noting that several non-residential sites caught fire.
Late on Wednesday, Zelenskyy warned that Russia had prepared a major attack.
“The Russians prepared a massive attack several days ago, and there is a high probability that the strike will be carried out tonight,” he said.
“Please, in all regions of Ukraine, pay attention to air raid alerts today and stay safe.”
