Supporters of Osun State Governor and Accord Party governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke, erupted in celebration on Saturday after he secured victory at his polling unit in the ongoing governorship election.
Results announced at Ward 02, Polling Unit 009, Abogunde Compound in Ede North local government area showed that Adeleke polled 421 votes.
The announcement triggered jubilation among his supporters who had gathered at the polling unit to await the outcome.
Earlier, Adeleke had expressed confidence in securing another term after casting his vote at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North local government area.
