American Entrepreneurs Praise Nigerian Weddings After Attending Peller, Jarvis’ Ceremony
American entrepreneurs and supporters of TikTok stars Peller and Jarvis, Gregory and Chris T, have showered praise on Nigerian weddings after attending the couple’s traditional marriage ceremony, describing the experience as far more vibrant than weddings in the United States.
Speaking after the event, the duo said they were impressed by the atmosphere, hospitality and cultural richness of the celebration.
“I prefer Nigerian weddings to the weddings in the United States,” one of them said.
“The people were beautiful and so kind. Everything was well put together. In the United States, we also have weddings, but they tend to be more laid-back. It’s like United States weddings are boring. That wedding was lit. I had fun. I vibed. We all vibed. We met so many cool people and networked.”
The entrepreneurs added that American weddings could learn a thing or two from the energy and excitement of Nigerian celebrations.
“The United States better pick up their wedding game, I’ll tell you that,” he joked.
Beyond the festivities, they also spoke positively about their experience in Nigeria, revealing that they felt safe throughout their visit.
“I feel safer in Nigeria and enjoyed my time,” he said.
The visit appears to have inspired plans beyond tourism, as the entrepreneurs disclosed they are already discussing a potential education project with Peller and Jarvis.
“I’m in talks with Peller and Jarvis because I want to open a school and invest in the Nigerian educational system. Hopefully we can do it. That would be my dream,” he revealed.
He also explained that he would not be attending the couple’s white wedding due to a prior commitment.
“I’m not going to the white wedding because I’ve got to go to a conference in Amsterdam.”
Their comments have generated positive reactions online, with many Nigerians applauding the visitors for celebrating the country’s culture and expressing interest in investing in its education sector.
Peller and Jarvis’ traditional wedding has continued to dominate social media, drawing widespread attention for its colourful display of culture, celebrity attendance and viral moments.
