Anthony Edwards Called ‘An Inactive Father’ As One Baby Mama Praises Another Over Child Support Win

Sisterhood is winning as Anthony Edwards‘ baby mama celebrates another woman’s court victory against the NBA star.

The NBA star received a court order to pay $14,000 monthly for child support to Alexandria Desroches. The decision has also brought Ayesha Howard back into the conversation, who got only $3,222 in her time, but she is happy for her fellow baby mama.

Anthony Edwards has four children with four different women, with all four children born between September 2023 and October 2024. The latest ruling has prompted Edward to speak up, claiming he has never met the child.

Ayesha Howard is loudly cheering on her fellow baby mama for hitting the jackpot in family court. Howard revealed that she was “extremely happy” for Alexandria Desroches and her son after they “defeated an inactive father.” She also encouraged Desroches to get her money.

The influencer claimed Edwards originally tried to get away with providing a paltry monthly payment of only $3,222. Howard said she still wants to “celebrate [her] sister ALLY!” while continuing her own legal battle. Her comments came after Desroches secured a much larger monthly payment for their son, Amir.

A judge recently ordered the NBA player to pay Desroches a staggering $14,000 every month. According to TMZ, the court also mandated a $2.6 million life insurance policy naming Desroches as the primary beneficiary. Furthermore, the professional athlete must cover her mounting legal fees, which total more than $21,000.

The NBA Star Claims He Has Never Met His Son

The court ruling also put Edwards’ relationship with Amir under the spotlight. According to court documents, the NBA star admitted under oath that he has never met his son in person. The documents also state that he is not seeking any parenting time with the child.

Desroches’ attorney, Al Hedayati, said that the NBA star is welcome to see Amir. The lawyer described Desroches as a single mother raising their son while maintaining an open-door policy for Edwards.

The big ruling is separate from Edwards’ child support battle with Howard, where a Georgia judge gave a default judgment of $3,222 per month for their daughter, Aubri, after she failed to show up to court with evidence of her claims.

Edwards requested a DNA test from a “neutral and licensed laboratory,” according to Us Magazine. He did not seek custody or visitation rights and said the only issues left to resolve were financial. Howard has sole legal and physical custody of Aubri. Edwards later accused Howard of using their daughter as a “revenue-generating asset” through social media content.

Anthony Edwards’ Low-Key Romance Takes A Step Out Of The Public Eye

The basketball star quietly married his longtime girlfriend, Shannon Jackson. The newlyweds share a sweet two-year-old daughter named Aislynn. Jackson also has a son, Krue, from her relationship with popular rapper Chief Keef.

The couple kept their relationship private for several years, although Jackson had made regular appearances at the courtside to support Edwards during Minnesota Timberwolves games.

As reported by The Blast, Jackson and Edwards’ relationship began in 2020. The newlywed wife shared cute photos of them back in 2020. They have since kept their relationship private till the wedding.

Internet Critics Fire Shots Over Edwards’ Sudden Secret Marriage

The basketballer’s marriage sent massive shockwaves through social media. A fan opined that, “LeBron James seen Anthony Edwards married [to] a 36-year-old that’s a BM to other n—- and said HELL NAW.” Other internet critics pointed out the age gap within the surprise romance.

Trolls began digging heavily into the couple’s personal history. One user claimed, “Anthony Edwards just married an old woman who groomed him since he was 18; that’s actually so sick and sad.” However, some fans have shown support and congratulated the newlyweds.

Meanwhile, another Timberwolves fan joked that Edwards had boldly chosen the altar ring before the court ring. The user wrote, “Anthony Edwards getting married before Minnesota gets out of the West is a bold priority call.” The critical follower added that most guys wait for the court ring before making such a major commitment.

Earlier this year, the NBA All-Star came under fire from fans over his ignorance regarding a shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Timberwolves star spoke with reporters about the civil unrest in the Twin Cities following the incident. He claimed that he wasn’t too aware of what had been going on because he is completely off social media.

The basketball player’s comments came a day after news broke that ICE agents shot and killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old American citizen. The Blast noted that the government agency claimed Pretti was shot after approaching law enforcement officers with a firearm. However, a video and eyewitness accounts seem to refute the claim.

Some fans called Edwards’ statement “pathetic,” while others said he should have used his platform differently. Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton called Pretti’s unfortunate death “murder.”
