“Don’t Enter Marriage Without Something Doing”- Prophetess Advises Young Ladies

  • A Nigerian prophetess advises young women to prioritize building a career before marriage.
  • She emphasizes the importance of having financial independence.
  • Women without a job may struggle to leave unhealthy relationships.

A Nigerian prophetess has advised young women to build a career or establish a source of livelihood before getting married, stressing the importance of having something to fall back on.

According to her, women who enter marriage without a job or personal means of support may find it difficult to leave unhealthy relationships because of the challenges associated with starting over.

“If you are a young lady and you don’t have a job or anything you are doing, don’t get married. A man can navigate his life, but a woman may find it difficult to do so within marriage. That’s why you see some women who get married to someone who is not right for them staying in the marriage. It’s not that they can’t leave, but they are thinking about how to come out and start all over again,” she said.

The prophetess encouraged young women to focus on becoming financially independent and developing themselves before committing to marriage.

She explained that having a career, business or other meaningful pursuit can give women greater confidence and options when making important decisions about their lives and relationships.

Her advice has sparked conversations about the importance of financial independence, personal development and making thoughtful decisions before entering marriage.
