Forum Wants Tinubu To Use Wunti As North East Campaign Coordinator

The Young Motivation and Awareness for Development Forum in the Kirfi Local Government Area of Bauchi State has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Dr Bala Maijama’a Wunti as the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign coordinator for the North East ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The call was made during a courtesy visit by members of the forum to the Bala Wunti Support Organisation (BWSO) office in Kirfi.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja yesterday, the group said Wunti’s widespread grassroots acceptance and political influence across Bauchi State and the North East make him the most suitable candidate for the strategic role. On behalf of the delegation, the forum’s deputy chairman, Comrade Bala Badara, described Wunti as a grassroots politician whose commitment to community development, inclusive leadership and loyalty to the APC have earned him broad support across the region.

Badara noted that despite not securing the APC governorship ticket for the 2027 Bauchi governorship election, Wunti has remained committed to the party, continuing to mobilise supporters and strengthen its grassroots structures. He said Wunti’s ability to unite people across communities and his extensive political network would enhance the APC’s campaign efforts and consolidate support for President Tinubu in the North East ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Responding, the coordinator of BWSO in the Kirfi Local Government Area, Abdullahi Yaya Kaloma, thanked the forum for the endorsement, describing it as a reflection of growing confidence in Wunti’s leadership and development agenda.

Kaloma reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to youth empowerment, community participation and responsible leadership, assuring the delegation that its message would be conveyed to the appropriate authorities. He also urged members of the forum to remain peaceful, united and committed to democratic values and good governance.
