A Nigerian lady has spoken in support of being corrected by her husband after admitting that she had done something that upset him.

Reflecting on the situation, the woman explained that she did not see her husband’s reaction as a negative experience. Instead, she acknowledged that her actions had offended him and accepted the correction.

She noted that taking responsibility for her behaviour was important to her and said she had learned from the experience. According to her, she would be careful not to repeat the same mistake in the future.

“There’s nothing bad about it. I offended my husband and he corrected me. I won’t do that again,” she said.

She further maintained that there was nothing wrong with accepting correction when one had made a mistake, adding, “It’s okay to be corrected.”

Her remarks have sparked conversations about how married couples deal with disagreements, accountability and correction in relationships.

While opinions may differ on how partners should address one another during disagreements, the woman’s comments focused on recognising one’s mistakes and being open to learning from them.

Her experience also highlights the importance of personal accountability and communication in marriage, particularly when conflicts arise between partners.

For her, accepting the correction was a way of acknowledging her wrongdoing, learning from the situation and making a conscious decision not to repeat the behaviour.
