- It gained renewed attention due to ongoing disputes between the Psquare brothers.
An old social media comment by Ifeoma Umeokeke, the wife of music executive Jude Okoye, has resurfaced amid the renewed controversy surrounding the long-running dispute between the Psquare brothers.
The comment, which was originally posted in response to a TikTok user identified as Praise Chiwendu, has now attracted fresh attention following recent allegations made by Peter Okoye.
At the time, Praise had commented, “Abeggiiiiii….he should give back what belongs to his younger brother.”
Responding to the comment, Ifeoma wrote, “Nothing was taken from him sweetie.”
Although the exchange initially generated little reaction, it has now resurfaced and become a major talking point among fans following Peter Okoye’s recent revelations about the financial issues surrounding the split of the music duo.
In his viral account, Peter alleged that Ifeoma owns 800,000 shares in Northside Music, a company he claimed was established to divert royalties that were supposed to belong to him and his brothers.
Peter further alleged that Jude had threatened to transfer his shares in Northside Entertainment, the company associated with Psquare, to Ifeoma.
Interestingly, Ifeoma’s old response had already prompted questions from another social media user, who challenged her defence of her husband.
The user wrote: “if nothing was taken, Y was he detained? and why did he open another company 2 divert funds meant 4 him n his brothers? There are so many questions but ur hubby isn’t fully innocent. it’s okay 2 defend”
With Peter’s latest allegations reigniting public interest in the brothers’ long-standing dispute, social media users have returned to the old exchange, with many now examining Ifeoma’s response in light of the claims currently making headlines.
The resurfaced comment has consequently added another layer to the ongoing online debate over the issues surrounding Psquare’s split and the financial allegations involving the brothers and their business interests.
