The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander, Sector 1 Joint Task Force North-West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Abubakar Sadique Muhammed Wase, hosted executive members of the 42 Regular Course Jewels on Friday, 31 July 2026, at the Division’s Headquarters in Kaduna.
The 42 Regular Course Jewels is an association uniting spouses of officers from the 42nd Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy. It was established to foster unity, build a strong network of sisterhood, and provide critical welfare support to military families.
Leading the delegation, Mrs. Patricia Gapkwet expressed gratitude to the GOC for creating time to host them despite his demanding operational schedule. She congratulated Major General Wase on his landmark appointment as the 44th GOC, praising his strategic leadership and tireless efforts toward national peace and security.
Mrs. Gapkwet further reaffirmed the association’s commitment to driving initiatives that enhance the well-being and resilience of military families.
