“No One Forced You, I Have Nothing to Hide” – Dapper Damm Responds to Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi’s Allegations

  • Dapper Damm has responded to allegations of unpaid royalties and financial misconduct made by Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi and other former artistes, insisting that relevant records are with the authorities.
  • He denied hiding anything and maintained that the ongoing process would establish the truth, while also accusing his former artistes of spreading false narratives.

Music executive Dapper Damm has finally responded to allegations of unpaid royalties and financial disputes raised by Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi and some of his former artistes.

The controversy escalated after the musicians publicly accused the executive of financial misconduct and questioned the handling of their earnings and music catalogues.

Dapper addressed the allegations in a series of posts on X, insisting that he has nothing to hide and that relevant records have already been submitted to the appropriate authorities.

“I have nothing to hide. The records exist. The authorities have them. Let the process establish the truth.”

The music executive, however, did not provide detailed explanations of the specific allegations in his post, maintaining that the available records would help establish what happened.

Dapper also pushed back against claims made by his former artistes, accusing them of trying to mislead the public with what he described as false narratives.

“You chose to leave! No one forced you, and we are still fine without you! Move on! Stop acting obsessed!!!!!”

His response comes after Shallipopi alleged that Dapper withheld royalties from 46 songs and accused him of forging his signature on a 10-year distribution agreement.

Seyi Vibez also made allegations concerning his earnings, claiming that money he made was allegedly used to sign other artistes.

Despite the growing controversy, Dapper said he would not engage in an exchange of insults with those involved.

“So much to say, but so few ways to say it,” he wrote.

The music executive’s response comes as the allegations involving his former artistes continue to generate reactions within the Nigerian music industry.

Dapper Damm has denied wrongdoing and pointed to records already submitted to authorities as the basis for establishing the facts surrounding the dispute.

Meanwhile, allegations by Seyi Vibez, Shallipopi and other former artistes have placed the handling of royalties, contracts and music catalogues at the centre of the ongoing controversy.
