Oyo APC Reconciles Aggrieved House Of Assembly Aspirants Ahead 2027 Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) reconciliation committee in Oyo State said it has reconciled most of the aspirants who participated in the recently House of Assembly primary election, adding that the aspirants have pledged to work together for the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.

This was contained in a communiqué issued on Sunday by the Oyo State APC House of Assembly Reconciliation Committee, following its engagements with aspirants and other stakeholders over grievances arising from the primary election.

The communiqué was signed by the co-chairman, Are Bisoye Fagade; and secretary, Barrister Dr. Rotimi Okeowo of the Oyo State APC House of Assembly Reconciliation Committee.

The committee said it had made substantial progress in resolving the issues raised by the aspirants after engaging extensively with those who purchased nomination forms, as well as other party members who expressed interest in the electoral process.

According to the communiqué, the engagements were conducted “in the spirit of reconciliation, unity, mutual understanding and the collective interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.”

The committee said the majority of the aspirants who participated in the primary, including those who purchased nomination forms and those who did not, had demonstrated sportsmanship, maturity and commitment to the unity of the party..

It added that the aspirants had expressed their readiness to work harmoniously with one another and the party leadership to secure victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.

“In furtherance of this commitment, the reconciled aspirants pledged their support for the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as the election of the APC candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and the Oyo State House of Assembly,” the communiqué stated.

The committee commended the aspirants for placing the collective interest of the party above their individual ambitions and for their willingness to work together to strengthen the APC across the state.

“The Committee further calls on all members, leaders, stakeholders and supporters of the APC in Oyo State to embrace the spirit of reconciliation, eschew divisive tendencies and work collectively towards building a stronger, more united and electorally formidable Party,” it said.

The committee expressed confidence that the renewed spirit of unity and cooperation among the aspirants would contribute significantly to the party’s electoral success in the 2027 general elections.

“Together, with unity of purpose and commitment, we can secure a resounding victory for the APC in Oyo State in 2027,” it added.
