Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has criticized some of the country’s biggest music stars for allegedly failing to support dancer and entertainer Poco Lee amid his ongoing legal troubles in the United Kingdom.
In a video making the rounds online, Portable questioned why artists who previously shared close relationships with Poco Lee had seemingly gone silent at a time when he was facing difficulties.
The singer specifically mentioned Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and Olamide, wondering why none of them had stepped forward to assist Poco Lee.
According to Portable, the music stars were previously comfortable spending time with the dancer and dancing alongside him, but their attitude appeared to have changed now that he was in need of support.
“Poco dey stay with Una, dey roll with Una, and Una no fit bail him. Where is Burna Boy, Wizkid, Olamide or Davido?” Portable said.
He went on to describe the alleged abandonment as shameful, insisting that people who once associated closely with Poco Lee should not disappear when he is going through a difficult period.
Poco Lee is currently facing legal proceedings in the United Kingdom following his reported arrest in August. He has been accused of sexual assault, attempted rape and assault by penetration. The allegations are matters before the court and have not been established as facts.
Reports indicate that the dancer is being held on remand in the UK and is expected to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Amid the controversy, Poco Lee’s management and legal representatives have appealed to the public and media to refrain from circulating unverified information about the case.
The team also emphasized the importance of due process, noting that Poco Lee, like every person facing allegations, is entitled to a fair hearing and that the outcome of the case should ultimately be determined by the court rather than public opinion.
