“We’re not seeking financial aid”- Taiwo Hassan’s daughter reveals why actor cannot travel to India for cancer treatment

  • Taiwo Hassan’s daughter, Kira Taiwo, has revealed that the veteran actor cannot travel to India for cancer treatment despite securing a visa because he is not medically fit to fly.
  • She clarified that the family is not seeking financial assistance but needs recommendations for someone who can treat him.

Kira Taiwo, daughter of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, has revealed that her father cannot travel abroad for medical treatment despite securing an Indian visa because he is not medically fit to make the trip.

Kira had earlier appealed to the public for recommendations on hospitals or traditional treatment centres that could help her father, who is battling stage 4 cancer.

In a recent Instagram post, she explained that although her father was granted an Indian visa, his current health condition makes travelling abroad difficult.

She also clarified that the family is not seeking financial assistance but is looking for someone who can provide appropriate treatment for the actor.

“If you have anyone that can help us please. Senator Adeola Yayi is ready and he’s been the one supporting us financially. All we need is someone that can treat him”, she wrote.

The development comes after Taiwo Hassan previously opened up about his seven-year battle with chronic ulcer, describing how severe the condition became.

According to the actor, he struggled to eat normal food for years and experienced such severe pain that he sometimes had to pray while sitting because he could not stand or lie down comfortably.

He also revealed that the illness caused him to lose a significant amount of weight.

Kira’s latest appeal has renewed concerns among fans and colleagues about the actor’s health, with the family seeking medical expertise that can treat him despite his inability to travel abroad.
