The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Katsina State, Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, has called on the people to pray against bad governance and insecurity as the state marks 39 years after creation.
Kaita, while congratulating the people of the state on its 39th year after creation, said, “With nostalgia, I wish to congratulate us all as the people of Katsina State as we, by the special grace of Allah, witness and mark yet another year after creation.
“This, indeed, is ordinarily worth celebrating, but for the fact that our people are faced with serious multiple challenges, especially those of insecurity, poverty and economic backwardness caused by bad governance.
“Instead of dining and dancing, therefore, I strongly recommend we have a sober reflection and pray for divine intervention so that God can, in his infinite wisdom and mercy, remove us from the current terrible situation”, the gubernatorial candidate said.
A statement issued by Abubakar Ahmed, the Spokesman to Sen Ahmad Babba Kaita’s Gubernatorial Campaign, he observed that a child born 39 years ago must have become an adult by now and standing firm on his feet, but that while some past leaders did their best to bring progress and development, lately, the state and our people have been left under pressure and in constant fear of attacks by bandits while battling poverty and hunger.
Kaita advised citizens of the state to rethink ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections by voting out all bad leaders, with a view to bringing in focused leadership that will bring positive change.
He maintained that the ADC is a complete departure from bad governance and seeks to bring about the desired positive changes, in which citizens will be fully carried along in taking the state to greater heights.
