“Case Is Still Live” – UK Prosecutors Confirm Poco Lee’s September 15 Court Hearing Amid Release Rumours

The UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has confirmed that the sexual offence case involving Nigerian dancer and hypeman Poco Lee remains ongoing, amid social media reports claiming that he had been released and the matter dropped.

The CPS said the entertainer, whose real name is Iweh Odinaka, is still scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing.

“This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026,” the CPS Press Office said.

The clarification comes after rumours circulated online suggesting that Poco Lee had been released and that the complainant had withdrawn from the case or that the matter had been settled.

The CPS, however, did not confirm his current custody or bail status, and the reported release has not been independently confirmed by the court.

Poco Lee faces five sexual offence charges in the UK, comprising one count of attempted r@pe, two counts of r@pe and two counts of ass@ult by penetration. The court has also placed a reporting restriction to protect the anonymity of the complainant.

The September 15 hearing is for plea and trial preparation and is not the trial itself. Poco Lee remains legally presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
