The High Court has ordered the remand of Mr Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as Odogwu Asaba, at the Ogwashi Uku Maximum Correctional Centre as proceedings continue in the case involving the late Favour.
The remand order was granted by the court on Friday, September 4, 2026, following an application brought before the judge.
The latest development comes after the completion and release of the autopsy and toxicology test results connected to the investigation into Favour’s death. The results have reportedly been made available to the police team handling the case.
Counsel representing Favour’s family said the findings from the tests, together with other evidence and information gathered during the investigation, have been incorporated into the police investigation report.
According to the lawyer, the report has now been prepared for the prosecution and subsequent trial of the case.
Following the court’s decision, Ogbonna will remain in custody at the correctional facility and is expected to be brought before the court as further proceedings take place.
The case is expected to continue as the relevant authorities proceed with the prosecution based on the evidence contained in the investigation report.
