Veteran Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah has opened up about his decision to maintain a low profile despite his decades-long career in the Nigerian film industry.
The respected actor, who has remained a prominent figure in Nollywood for more than 20 years, revealed that he is more comfortable keeping his personal life away from public scrutiny.
Nouah shared his thoughts during an interview with TVC Entertainment, where he spoke about his preference for staying behind the scenes and allowing his work to speak for him.
According to the actor, being away from the spotlight gives him the freedom and comfort to concentrate on his craft without constantly having attention directed at him.
He explained that there is a clear difference between promoting his work and promoting himself. While he is willing to speak publicly whenever he has a movie or role to promote, he prefers not to make his private life part of the conversation.
Speaking about his approach to fame, Nouah said:
“It is, kind of. I’m able to work better with just being in the low, in the background than upfront. I feel safer in that lane. If I have a work or a job, I’ll promote the job. It is not about promoting myself, it is about the work. That’s why I am here to talk about the character I play, Tornado.”
