Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Mark Angel has revealed that he signed two of Nigeria’s biggest music artistes, despite keeping the business relationships away from the public eye.
Angel made the disclosure while speaking about his activities outside comedy, explaining that he and the artistes have deliberately kept their connection private.
“A lot of people don’t know this, but I signed two of the biggest artistes in Nigeria. We keep everything low-key and don’t take pictures together,” he said.
The comedian further revealed that one of the artistes he signed has experienced significant growth across the continent, describing the musician as one of Africa’s fastest-growing artistes.
“One of the artistes is the fastest-growing in Africa,” he added.
Angel, however, did not reveal the identities of either artiste or provide details about the nature of the deals, leaving fans and social media users to speculate about who they could be.
Several Nigerians have since attempted to guess the identities of the musicians, with some linking the revelation to major names in the Nigerian music industry.
