In other news… Nigerian-Japanese content creator Katy Igwe, also known as Ada Igbo, has revealed how she ended up spending 15 years in Nigeria after her parents separated.
Katy Igwe, who hails from Oguta in Imo State and is based in Tokyo, Japan, is known for creating content around Nigerian and Japanese culture, fashion and lifestyle.
Speaking about her childhood, she said her mother won custody of the children after the separation, but her father later took them to Nigeria under the impression that they were going on vacation.
According to Katy, what was supposed to be a temporary trip eventually turned into a 15-year stay in Nigeria.
She said:
“My parents had a separation. My mom did win custody of us, but my Dad just took us and went to Nigeria… He said it was for vacation.”
