The Kaduna State APC Consensus Aspirants Forum have resolved to deploy its political structures across the state to mobilise grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The forum said its members, who accepted the consensus arrangement that produced APC candidates in previous party contests, had decided to put personal ambitions aside and transform their structures into a formidable grassroots mobilisation force capable of delivering victory for the party across polling units, wards and local government areas.
Chairman of the forum, Godwin Luka (Mai Solar), disclosed this at a press conference where he said the group’s decision was driven by its confidence in the performance of President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani.
Luka said the forum’s commitment to the APC was not based solely on party loyalty, but on what he described as the measurable performance of the party’s leaders at the federal and state levels.
According to him, President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda had recorded progress in critical infrastructure, education and interventions targeted at addressing development challenges, citing ongoing construction works on major highways, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road and the Sokoto-Badagry corridor.
He noted that the federal government had also stated that more than 2,700 kilometres of highways were under construction nationwide, describing the developments as evidence of the administration’s commitment to infrastructure renewal.
In Kaduna State, the APC consensus aspirants said Governor Uba Sani had demonstrated a result-oriented approach through interventions in roads, healthcare, education and agriculture.
Luka cited about 150 road projects covering more than 1,300 kilometres across the 23 local government areas, as well as the upgrade of 255 primary healthcare centres and the establishment of 23 Centres of Excellence.
He also highlighted the completion of a 300-bed specialist hospital and interventions in the education sector, including the construction of 736 classrooms, renovation of 1,200 classrooms, recruitment of 10,000 teachers and establishment of 62 new secondary schools.
The forum further pointed to the distribution of 500 truckloads of free fertiliser and provision of tractors to 150,000 smallholder farmers in 2026 as evidence that the administration’s programmes were reaching rural communities.
“Let it be clear: Our structures belong to the APC. Our loyalty is to the party. Our mission is to secure victory for all APC candidates in 2027,” Luka declared.
He said the forum would adopt both top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top mobilisation strategies, involving unit-to-unit consultations, ward-to-ward mobilisation and direct engagement with communities across Kaduna State.
He added that the group would not only take the APC’s message to the electorate but would also listen to their concerns and communicate such concerns to the appropriate authorities.
The chairman urged APC members to remain united, disciplined and committed to reconciliation, warning that internal divisions could undermine the party’s chances in the 2027 elections.
He also appealed to Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as well as Governor Uba Sani’s developmental programmes, which he said were delivering tangible benefits for citizens.
Luka said accepting the consensus arrangement should not be seen as the end of the forum members’ political journey, but as the beginning of a broader responsibility to strengthen the party and secure victory in 2027.
He expressed confidence that the collective resolve of the consensus aspirants, combined with the APC’s existing grassroots structures, would help the party achieve a decisive electoral victory across Kaduna State.
