Meghan Markle Reportedly Plans To ‘Regularly’ See Her Mother Despite Relocating Back To The UK With Prince Harry

Meghan Markle reportedly has plans to see her mother, Doria Ragland, regularly, despite her move back to the UK with her husband, Prince Harry, and their kids.
The Sussexes recently stunned many when they announced their return to Britain, years after they stepped down as senior working royals and relocated to the US.
Now, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are back, with reports indicating they are currently staying in the famous Cotswolds.
According to GB News, Meghan is not going to let distance prevent her from seeing her mother, Doria, “regularly.”
The actress and her family are already settling nicely after arriving in the UK on Wednesday, and are setting up camp in the Cotswolds, where Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet appear to have been enrolled in a pricey prep school already.
However, while Harry reportedly plans to stick around by taking on a “full-time dad role,” Meghan’s As Ever brand will reportedly have her adopt a more “come and go” approach, as she would likely be making a lot of trips back to California due to her business obligations.
“Meghan plans to see her mom regularly. They’re incredibly close,” a source confirmed to People Magazine about the duchess’s plans.
The Sussexes’ move back to Britain comes after Ragland marked her 70th birthday in California. Long considered the family’s emotional anchor, she has developed a close bond with Harry, providing a maternal presence for the duke, who has often openly grieved the absence of his own mother, Princess Diana.
The Duchess And Her Husband Had A Meeting With King Charles Before Their UK Return
5As reported by the National Examiner, the Duchess of Sussex was “treated so badly” on her July UK trip before she and her husband announced their surprise move back to the country.
Harry’s request for taxpayer-funded police protection for his family was denied, and the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace during the visit was withdrawn at the last moment.
A source also claimed that “Not being allowed to take photos or post anything about the visit was especially insulting.” They further shared that the duchess found it very hard to focus on the positives after they were treated like “a pair of outsiders” by the royal family.
At the time, King Charles agreed to meet with Harry and Meghan at Highgrove House under explicit, strict conditions. The report says the primary rule established was “no drama and no cameras.”
The Sussexes were barred from filming, taking official photographs, or creating social media content during their interactions with the Royal Family and on royal grounds.
Meghan Markle Was Deeply Hurt By Their Treatment During UK Visit In July
5Meghan reportedly returned from the trip feeling sad and hurt that she and Harry were treated like outsiders rather than members of the royal family.
The trip took a clear emotional toll on the Duchess of Sussex. As reported by People Magazine, sources close to the couple revealed that Meghan felt “great sadness over how the trip unfolded.”
The restrictions surrounding what they could photograph and post also led to the Sussexes feeling heavily controlled and micromanaged.
The feelings generated from the trip reportedly resulted in Meghan choosing to “focus on everything she’s got going on with her brand,” per the source. “But Harry can’t see how they’ll move things forward if she stays this sour about the whole experience.”
Meghan Markle To Focus On Her Brand In The United States
5Prince Harry acknowledged the trip was disappointing on multiple levels and is said to understand Meghan’s frustration, but he still believes the best path forward is to look past the negative experience and maintain outreach.
Harry is ready to build bridges with the royal family, but Meghan has long seen this endless olive-branch routine as a waste of time. Still, their sudden move back to the UK suggests that she might be shifting her stance.
According to reports, the duchess expressed that she is “in no mood to keep groveling” or seeking approval from the royal family.
Instead, she has redirected her focus primarily to her California lifestyle brand and personal projects, which would keep her traveling back to the US regularly.
Meghan Markle Is Open To Reconciliation With Kate Middleton
5Sources shared with the National Examiner that Meghan is still open to getting on good terms with the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
The two women share a well-documented history of friction, famously accusing each other of causing tears during their fallout over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
Now, with Meghan back in the country, a source noted, “She would like it if they could be on better terms, but not if it means she has to beg.”
They continued, “Meghan isn’t going to grovel to anybody, least of all Kate.”
