A Nigerian man has reportedly been left devastated after his girlfriend, whom he claims to have supported financially throughout her education, allegedly left him and went on to marry another man.
In a video making the rounds on social media, the heartbroken man could be seen in tears as he opened up about the sacrifices he made during their three-year relationship.
According to him, he went as far as selling his late father’s property to raise money for his girlfriend’s education, believing their relationship would eventually lead to a future together.
The man claimed that despite everything he did to support her schooling, she eventually realised that he was not formally educated and allegedly chose to marry someone else.
Expressing his pain, he wrote: “Three years of relationship. After I sold my father’s property to sponsor your education, it is now that you realise I’m not educated. My God will surely judge you.”
The emotional video has generated different reactions online, with social media users weighing in on the sacrifices people make for their partners and whether such support should create an expectation of marriage or lifelong commitment.
