Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has called out a man he accused of allegedly absconding with his money after receiving funds to purchase an iPhone 17 for his wife.
The singer raised the alarm in a post shared on his social media page, revealing that he had entrusted the man with money to get the new smartphone.
According to Timi, it has been about four months since he last heard from or saw the man, who he claimed disappeared with the money.
The singer expressed further frustration after noticing that the man had begun showing off the same new phone online.
Timi Dakolo subsequently warned members of the public to be cautious when dealing with the individual, particularly drawing attention to what he described as the man’s convincing advertising skills.
His words…
“Please help me and repost. You might save someone.
Public service announcement.
Be careful of this guy.
It’s been 4 months since I gave him money for an iPhone 17 for my wife. The guy has eloped with my money.
It’s been one lie or the other. The phone is on its way; the delivery will call you soon; I sent it to London, etc.
As you can see, he is already posting the new phone.
My advice is, be careful of the guy and whatever he is advertising.
Very dishonest guy. He stays in Canada, so you can’t get a hold of him”.
