Police recover locally made cut-to-size gun from cultists in Delta

Operatives of Oghara Division with Civilian Anti-Cult Group,Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State have recovered a locally made cut-to-size gun abandoned after a fight by some suspected cultists.
The gun was recovered on 4th September 2026, at about 1930hrs.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement.
He said, “On 4th September 2026, at about 1930hrs, operatives of Oghara Division, alongside the civilian anti-cult group, responded to a report of a scuffle involving about eight persons along Ibori Road, Oghara.”
According to SP Edafe, “On sighting the patrol team, the suspects fled, during which one of them, identified by the alias “Highest,” discarded a locally made cut-to-size gun.
“The firearm was recovered, while efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest the fleeing suspects.”
